Currently, the game is on PC and Steamdeck-like devices. Additional ports may come in the future depending on demand.
Mahou arms is SFW unless you install the Adult Patch. From the get-go, we intended the game to be compelling enough without the adult content, but it's there if you want that kind of experience.
English is the only currently supported language, while Japanese and Chinese (Simplified & Traditional) are currently a work in progress and intended for release sometime in 2027. Additional languages might come later depending on demand.
Patreon users who have a lifetime pledge equal or greater to the sale price of the game will receive a Steam key, so no. DLC will also work this way. You do not need to purchase the game or any DLC twice.
No. The adult patch will always be a free install from the Launcher or the Patcher.
For Patreon users, the Mahou Arms Launcher is used for accessing the game, patreon rewards, and game updates. A detailed user guide and Launcher-specific FAQ is available in this Patreon post.
The Steam patcher can be used by Steam users to patch the Steam version of the game to the uncensored version. It can also unapply the patch if desired. The Steam patcher will detect and download the necessary patch, but there are also bundled versions if you know your Mahou Arms version and would prefer to download everything at once.
At the end of early access, Patreon backers and Steam users will have access to the same game. Patreon users who have a lifetime pledge equal or greater to the sale price of the game will receive a Steam key. Whether you should buy on Steam or pledge on Patreon depends on whether you want to pay a higher up-front cost, and how attractive you find the Patreon rewards.
